Happy Birthday Julius Caesar.

"Beware the leader who bangs the drum of war in order to whip the citizenry into a patriotic fervor. For patriotism is indeed a double-edged sword. It both emboldens the blood, just as it narrows the mind."
- Julius Caesar, courtesy of The Writer's Almanac

Hey there you. Stop with that peacenik, anti-governement, subtle propoganda. You'll get people thinking to much with your comments and that's not very good for keeping oligarchies and plutocracies in power.

Et tu, Brute?

Ahem, I just found out that my posted quote is of *questionable* origin. I put the blame entirely on Garrison Keillor.

Dude, I think Garrison Keillor is of questionable origin, if you know what I mean. You know what I mean?

N- I'm glad you put a comma between dirty and granola. The idea of dirty granola makes me wince. You never know everything in the mix anyway.

Dot- Yeah, questionable-origin Keillor. But I think I tend to believe anything that comes from the smooth vocal cords of that man.

Beth- Don't worry. The man had an entire MONTH named after him for heaven's sake. He shouldn't have any complaints.

I like the quote from Shakespeare. Thanks for posting!

Hey there Dot. Let's not call into question the veracity of one of the greatest living Minnesotans. For all you know, the cold, lake air has made him more forgetful than most. And for all you know, that quote could be have been really said by someone, yet misattributed to Caesar by Keillor.

Oh, I wasn't calling into question his credibility as much as I was casting negative overtones onto his parentage.

Now do you know what I mean?

Sorry Dot. Silly me....

And I wasn't irritated at you. I was just being rather silly. All apologies....
