A Midsummer Night.

I love this time of year. The moon is full and the air is warm. Evenings drift along slowly until midnight has slipped by unnoticed. Rooms fill with the sounds of laughter, children and murmured conversations. Everyone stays up too late. Ah, the joys of summer.

Must be nice to have a decent climate....

Here, the air is hot & sticky with enough humidity in the air to make you think that you're swimming with all the moisture floating about.

However, you're right about the staying up too late. I'm not even in school anymore and I stay up late like it's Summer Break or something....

I just spent half an hour sitting on the steps of a strip mall with my wife, slurping ice cream cones before they melted, yes the sounds and tastes of summer are good.

grace and peace

Ah. And laying around in warm grass with comic books and a bicycle sprawled at your side.

By the way, where do you fine people live that you can tolerate being outside for that long on a summer day? Much of the day today in TX (from about 11AM to 4PM) was spent between 95 & 100 degrees with nearly 100% humidity. Maybe I'd just like to experience summer with you people and not melt away like I do most summers here in Texas....

Yes, Portland is at its best in the summer. I am happy to pass on the hot and sticky humidity... although it is raining outside my window as I type. It will probably rain all night and through tomorrow. That's Oregon humidity for you. It is fairly predictable.
