Life in '05.
Due to extenuating circumstances, I had to boil water on the stove tonight to avoid an ice cold shower. I've never had to haul water in a pot from the kitchen to the bathtub before. I felt like I was in a scene from Little House on the Prairie. Let me tell you, those pioneers worked hard for their hygiene.
Now if you will excuse me, I need to go churn some butter...

Erin, forget Little House on the Prairie... You really should travel to Russia. We didn't have hot water for two months when I got there, and another 3 months before I left. Fun times! I'm a pro at make-shift hot water showers. If you ever need any advice, I'm your girl.
Instead of "Little House", I was thinking more along the lines of "The Money Pit".
I hope that you get a good workout. Just think, no gym.
