Stroke by stroke.
The interior painting is finished. Powder purple and orange-brown have been smoothed into livable shades of dusty brown and cream. I have an unanticipated amount of paint in my hair. And I officially hate popcorn ceilings.
More work remains for tomorrow, but at least it doesn't involve painting.

I hope you'll post pictures!
I agree. I want to see these purples, oranges, and browns. I want to see how they interact, complement, and contrast in an effort to personalize and distinguish your living space.
But, regardless, thanks for allowing us a glimpse into your life....
I tink the main point of this new paint job is actually a move to enable the walls and ceilings to escape blatant noticings. The old walls were decorated in an era where every wall was intended to shout something very obvious to the viewer. "Look! I'm a wall! I have Sponge-Painting (Or glitter, or etc.)! Look at me, your wall!"
Now, they're relegated to a more humble status, one of quiet integration.
Dot is right- the walls just took up too much emotional space in the house. She gets big points for doing some of the hard labor.
I wish I had taken before pictures! The thought didn't even occur to me. You can use your imagination to conjure the scene- a small house, small rooms, much sponge-painting, bright colors.
I'll try to get some "after" shots up. I have less access to the internet lately as I'm waiting for all the proper hook-ups at my new place.
